CFSI Accepting Applications for the Excellence in Fire Service-Based EMS Award:
We know that fire departments across the nation are doing some innovative and successful things within their EMS systems. That could be your department or another that you’re somehow connected with. This is a very prestigious national award, so please take the initiative to consider making a nomination yourself – and/or getting this information to other fire departments in your state/organization who might be interested in submitting a nomination. Note that the deadline for nominations is February 2, 2018. Please also encourage your colleagues to attend the 2018 Fire and Emergency Services Dinner in Washington, DC and join the CFSI Associates Club. These are two excellent ways to support the critical work the CFSI!
EMS Agenda 2050: Envision the Future:
Join us for an interactive webinar, EMS Agenda 2050: Envision the Future, on January 24 at 12 p.m. EST / 9 a.m. PST, led by EMS Agenda 2050 project facilitator Mike Taigman. You’ll have an opportunity to learn about the two-year project and its mission to create a vision for the future of EMS. You’ll also have the chance to participate in the conversation, share your mind-blowing and paradigm-shattering ideas and listen to those of your colleagues.
The two-hour session will provide an overview of the project and the process being used to ensure EMS Agenda 2050 describes a community-driven vision. Most of the webinar, however, will be dedicated to hearing your ideas. EMS providers, their partners in public safety and healthcare, and members of the public are encouraged to participate. Members of the EMS Agenda 2050 Technical Expert Panel will join the webinar as well, ensuring that your ideas are heard and considered during the development of this new agenda for the future.
